Zach Thon

Zach Thon joined Shannon & Wilson in 2020 and is a Geologist Professional 1. His responsibilities include field activities, data management and evaluation, database research, technical writing, and final preparation of reports for a variety of environmental projects throughout Alaska. His field activities have included visual site investigations, differential leveling site surveys, database research, photoionization detection (PID) field screening, groundwater/soil sampling and groundwater monitoring well installation/development in accordance with the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) regulations and guidance documents.

Zach is providing environmental support for several of Shannon & Wilson’s ongoing term contracts, including the Municipality of Anchorage Landfill Water Quality Monitoring Program Term Contract, Environmental and Geotechnical Engineering Services Term Contract, and Department of Public Works Term Contract. He is working on numerous other projects within the Anchorage area and throughout Alaska.
