Yuri D.

Yuri D. serves as the Group Exploration Manager at Shanta Gold Limited since January 2021, bringing extensive experience in geological exploration and target generation. Previously, Yuri held the position of Senior District Geologist at Barrick Gold Corporation from April 2005 to December 2020, where responsibilities included managing large-scale exploration campaigns for gold and copper. Earlier roles at Barrick included District Geologist and Senior/District Exploration Geologist, focusing on target generation and field exploration. At Acacia Mining plc, Yuri acted as Manager of Geology in Kenya, leading significant drill programs that contributed to a major gold discovery. Yuri's career also includes a role as District Geologist at Placer Dome, engaged in exploration planning and execution across various stages. Yuri holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Geochemistry.
