Laura Strecker

Laura Strecker is an experienced publications manager and editor, currently managing content for SHAPE America's journals JOPERD and Strategies since September 2023. Previously, Laura served as a content writer for SuperMoney and was an adult education program assistant at the Fairfax County Park Authority's Green Spring Gardens, where duties included program planning and promotional material design. Laura's extensive background at SHAPE America includes roles as publications editor/coordinator, associate editor, and staff writer, demonstrating a strong focus on editing and content management. Additional experience comprises technical writing for Oberthur Card Systems and teaching Spanish at Fairfax County Public Schools. Laura holds a BA in English and a BA in Modern Languages from George Mason University, along with a certificate in General Translation from New York University.
