The "Shape-Its" idea of playing with your food began in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2002, when founder and owner, Michelle Welch, attempted to delight her children by free-handing different shapes of pancakes for breakfast.  It ended up being more like trying to find shapes in the clouds...everyone had to use their imaginations.  It didn't take long for the idea of creating fun in the kitchen by more meaningfully shaping food, to find its way into her heart.

The real work started when Michelle began drawing designs of food forms, building home-made hand-tools and shaping aluminum strips in her garage.  As the forms began to take shape, she pedaled them to local merchants, who were anxious to offer this unique product to their customers.  

Today, Shape-Its food forms are professionally manufactured, come in over 20 different designs and work great for shaping any kind of malleable food (i.e. pancakes, cakes, cookies, gelatin, ice cream, marshmallow treats, brownies and more.)  They are safe on the griddle, on the stove and even in the oven!  Dish-washer safe, they are also easy to clean, won’t rust and their folding handles make using and storing easy.

Shape-Its wants to make playing with your food a fun, memorable and parent-sanctioned experience for families everywhere!
