Alexander Schiftner

Co-founder, CTO at ShapeDiver

Alexander Schiftner co-founded ShapeDiver in 2015 and currently serves as the CTO. Alexander designed the cloud-based multi-tiered software stack for ShapeDiver and is involved in key accounts, business development, strategy, and operations of their cloud-based systems. Alexander enjoys leading and building the development team and continues to develop parts of the stack. Prior to ShapeDiver, Schiftner worked at Evolute GmbH as a Technical Director, providing services and software related to complex geometry. Alexander has also worked as a Researcher at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and as a Research Assistant at Technische Universität Wien. Additionally, they conducted a research stay at RFR as part of the ARC project. Schiftner also has experience in customer and technical support at Austrosoft Weiss Datenverarbeitung GmbH and worked as a summer student at CERN.

Alexander Schiftner completed their education with a Matura in Electrical Engineering at HTBL Mössingerstrasse from 1993 to 1998. Later, they studied Applied Mathematics at the Technische Universität Wien from 2002 to 2007, earning a Dipl.-Ing. degree. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in July 2017.
