Gabriele Romagnoli

Gabriele Romagnoli has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Gabriele is currently the Head of Business at ShapesXR, where they lead a team in inspiring creatives and empowering them with tools and workflows to build innovative spatial experiences. Gabriele is also a Senior Startup Advisor at iconomy, providing strategic guidance to founders in the internet economy. Additionally, Romagnoli serves as a Startup Mentor at Intema, helping early-stage startups develop their business ideas. Gabriele has been an XR Pitch Coach at GRTalk since 2018, assisting XR entrepreneurs in pitching their ideas to investors. Romagnoli has also worked as a Pitch Advisor at the VR AR Association, an International Business Developer at Binkies 3D, and a Program Manager at Johnson & Johnson. Prior to that, they held engineering and project management roles at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson and BaseClear BV Leiden. Romagnoli started their career as a PhD researcher at TU Delft, focusing on studying amino acid catabolism in yeasts for flavor formation in fermented products.

Gabriele Romagnoli completed their high school education at I.T.I.S Bernini from 1999 to 2004, with a focus on Chemistry. Gabriele then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" from 2004 to 2007. Following that, they went on to earn a Master's degree in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology from the same university, completing it from 2007 to 2009.
