Jana Henry (Krieg)

Jana Henry (Krieg) has a diverse work experience in the research field. Jana 'smost recent role is as a Senior Research Associate at Shape Therapeutics Inc., starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Student Research Assistant at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS) from May 2021 to August 2022.

Earlier in their career, Jana completed their Master's thesis at the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center, where they focused on characterizing and assessing the functionality of Wnt signaling in a choroid plexus in-vitro model from June 2020 to March 2021.

Before that, they worked as a Student Research Assistant and Research Intern at the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center. In these roles, they investigated lipid droplet metabolism and its role in radiotherapy resistance in Medulloblastoma from July 2019 to February 2020, and also researched the radioresistance of various human brain tumors from May 2019 to August 2019.

Jana has also gained research experience as an intern at the Central Institute of Mental Health in the lab of Prof. Dr. med. from February 2019 to April 2019. Additionally, they completed their Bachelor's thesis in the lab of Prof. Dr. Huber in the Departement of Biochemistry at the University of Hohenheim from June 2018 to September 2018.

Jana Henry (Krieg) pursued their education in a disciplined and diligent manner. Jana 'sacademic journey began at the University of Hohenheim, where they enrolled in the program for a Bachelor of Science in Biology, specializing in General Biology. From 2015 to 2018, they dedicated herself to expanding their knowledge and understanding of this field.

Following the successful completion of their bachelor's degree, Jana decided to further enhance their expertise by enrolling in the Master of Science program at Heidelberg University. Eager to explore the fascinating world of Neuroscience, they dedicated their time and efforts to this area of study from 2018 to 2021.
