Barnabas Gema has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Barnabas started their career in 2014 as a Photographer at Simonyi Károly Szakkollégium, where they also served as a Team Lead for the photography team at SPOT Fotókör. In 2015, they worked as an IT Intern at Ericsson, where they developed a .NET application for system health checks. In 2016, they joined Zoosh Group as a Software Developer, focusing on cloud infrastructure and backend development using Node.js, React, and AWS. Barnabas also worked as an Instructor at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, teaching courses on linear algebra, graph theory, and combinatorics in German language. Finally, since 2019, they have been with Shapr3D, initially as a backend engineer and later transitioning into an Engineering Manager role, overseeing technical leadership and team management responsibilities.

Barnabas Gema attended Budapest University of Technology and Economics from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's degree with honours in Computer Engineering. In 2015 to 2016, they also briefly studied at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in the field of Computer Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Software Engineering from 2017 to 2019.
