Provincial Lead for Indigenous Health at Shared Health, Inc.

Patricia Thomson, MAdmin, CFNHM, has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and organizations. Patricia is currently serving as the Executive Director at Leading Thunderbird Lodge since April 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Provincial Lead for Indigenous Health at Shared Health starting from December 2021. From 2018, Patricia worked as the Senior Indigenous Advisor at the Ministry of Social Services. In 2017, they were the Executive Director at Cowessess First Nation No. 73. Patricia also served as the Director of Health Services at Standing Buffalo Dakota Band from 2015 to 2017. Before that, they held the role of Director of Operations at Yorkton Tribal Council from 2009 to 2014. Patricia has also worked as a First Nations Health Consultant for various First Nations Communities from 2007 to 2009 and as an Aboriginal Health Consultant in Healthcare Consulting from 2004 to 2006.

Patricia Thomson holds a Master of Business Administration and Leadership degree from the University of Regina, which they obtained from 2016 to 2018. Patricia also obtained a certified First Nations Health Manager degree from the University of Regina in 2013. Patricia holds a Certificate in community Services In Addictions from the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies, which they received from 1996 to 1999. In addition, they earned a Diploma in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the Saskatchewan Institute Arts & Science between 1987 and 1989. Patricia also completed a Certificate in Indigenous Women's Leadership in Organizational Leadership from St. Francis Xavier University in 2016.
