François Ruty has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. François is currently working as the CTO and Co-founder at Shares since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a CTO and an AI Expert on a freelance basis from March 2019 to January 2021, where they specialized in creating tech strategies, implementing MVPs, and conducting tech audits.
Before their freelance work, François was the Head of Software and Infrastructure at Earthcube (now Preligens) from December 2017 to March 2019. Earthcube is a European New Space company that offers monitoring solutions based on AI analysis of geospatial information. During their time there, François focused on employing AI techniques in machine learning and computer vision to provide precise and cost-effective solutions aligned with customer needs.
Prior to Earthcube, François co-founded and served as the CEO/CTO of Seekscale, a cloud-rendering startup providing cloud computing power to VFX and 3D animation studios. François sold their shares and left the company in 2017.
François also gained experience as a System Engineer Assistant in the Lunar Lander Section of the Part-Time Scientists - Google Lunar XPrize team in 2012.
Before that, they worked as a Business Development Analyst at EADS Astrium Services from September 2011 to March 2012.
François also worked as a Director's Assistant at Astrodomes in 2009, where they assisted in market research for a project selling sky observation time through remotely operated telescopes.
Lastly, François started their career in 2009 as a Kitchen Worker at McDonald's.
François Ruty completed their education in a chronological manner. From 2006 to 2008, they attended Lycée Henri IV, where they completed their Classes préparatoires. Following that, from 2008 to 2012, they studied at ESSEC Business School, obtaining a Master of Science in Management (Grande Ecole) degree. Lastly, from 2010 to 2013, François attended CentraleSupélec, where they pursued a degree in Ingénieur in space systems (Grande Ecole) with a focus on Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering.
