Dr. Khalid Al Midfa serves as the Chairman of the Board at Al Thiqa Club for Disabled since September 2024. Previously, Dr. Al Midfa held the position of Chairman at Sharjah Media City (Shams) from February 2017 to June 2024, where efforts were focused on positioning Shams as a world-class media hub. Prior roles include General Manager at Sharjah Media Corporation from December 2012 to January 2017, and Manager at Sharjah Television from February 2011 to November 2012, where Dr. Al Midfa oversaw significant upgrades. Dr. Al Midfa was also the CEO of Ankabut, the UAE’s Advanced National Research and Education Network, from October 2009 to January 2011. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering and an MSc in Communication Systems and Signal Processing from the University of Bristol, alongside a BEng in Engineering from Khalifa University.
