Kris Caprani

Audio Designer at Sharkmob

Kris Caprani has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to the present. In 2009, they worked as a Maintenance Technician at BP, where they carried out maintenance, testing, and calibration of measuring/analytical equipment. They also commissioned new analytical systems and provided leadership and technical tuition to trainees.

In 2012, Kris worked as a Drum Instructor at Hessle Road Network and as an English Foreign Language Teacher at Kiat Tharapiwat School. In both roles, they developed and delivered lessons, volunteered for additional tasks such as proofreading exams, and created vocal exercise recordings.

In 2013, Kris worked as an Assistant Studio Engineer at the School of Music Media & Technology, assisting with studio operations. They then worked as a Touring Backline Technician for Albert Lee and Hogan's Heroes in 2014, providing backline support, stage management, and instrument repairs on tour.

From 2014 to 2016, Kris worked as a Development Engineer at Enertek International Ltd., focusing on certification, QA, and product audit testing of gas technologies. They also played a key role in sound and noise compliance testing.

In 2018, Kris had two roles. They worked as an Assistant Dubbing Mixer at the BBC, where they assisted in audio production strategies and delivered high-quality mixes. They also worked as a self-employed freelancer in filmmaking, music composition, and sound design, catering to clients' audio and visual needs.

From 2020 to 2023, Kris worked at GIANTS Software. They started as a Junior Audio Designer, then progressed to Audio Designer and Lead Audio Designer. In these roles, Kris managed audio tasks for the Farming Simulator franchise, shipped multiple titles and DLCs, and executed international vehicle field recording sessions.

Currently, Kris Caprani is working as an Audio Designer at Sharkmob since 2023.

Kris Caprani's education history starts with the completion of a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree in Music Production from the BIMM Institute, which was obtained from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, Kris received an Audio Mixing Certificate in Music Technology from the Berklee College of Music in 2015. Additionally, Kris holds a BTEC National Diploma & NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, which was acquired from 2005 to 2009 at the Hull College & Humberside Engineering Training Association.

In terms of additional certifications, Kris obtained a Wwise 101 Certification in Game and Interactive Media Design from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in November 2019. Furthermore, Kris also holds an Advance Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from NCFE, obtained in September 2012, and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from the same institution, acquired in August 2012.
