Jonathan Loney

Jonathan Loney has a diverse and extensive work experience in risk management, compliance, and business assurance. Jonathan is currently the Director of Risk & Compliance at SharkNinja, a position they assumed in April 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Risk & Assurance at Bupa from January 2019 to April 2021.

Jonathan's experience also includes roles at National Grid, British Gas, Centrica Storage, Tatweer Dubai, EuroProp International, and Rolls-Royce. At these organizations, they held various leadership positions, such as Senior Risk Manager, Head of Risk & Controls, Business Risk & Control, Group Risk & Business Continuity Director, and Risk Management. Through these roles, Jonathan demonstrated their expertise in providing guidance, training, oversight, and assurance in governance, controls, compliance, and risk management. Jonathan also played a crucial role in establishing robust risk and control frameworks, improving the control environment, and enhancing the overall risk management process.

Jonathan Loney holds an MSc in Risk Management from the University of Glasgow, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. Jonathan also has a BA (Hons) in Business & Finance from Leeds Beckett University, earned between 1990 and 1993. In addition to their degrees, Jonathan has obtained certifications such as PRINCE2 Practitioner from PRINCE2.com in 2017 and MBCI from the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) in 2002.
