Julia Schwartz

Julia Schwartz has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Julia began their career in 2012 as a Literacy Intervention Coordinator at KIPP New Orleans, where they developed and implemented an intervention program for seventh and eighth graders. Julia also served as a Reading Interventionist and created a guided reading program for students of different abilities.

From 2015 to 2017, Julia worked at Baton Rouge Bridge Academy as an Interventionist, where they developed and implemented a guided reading and phonics program for Kindergarten and 1st Grade students. Julia also provided small group instruction to students with reading-related IEPs.

Julia then moved on to Amistad High School, where they were a World Literature Teacher. Julia implemented and adjusted a pre-Advanced Placement curriculum and provided accommodations for students with IEPs and 504s. Julia also served as a co-advisor for tenth graders.

At Collegiate Charter High School of Los Angeles, Julia held multiple roles from 2018 to 2021. As a Co-Grade Level Chair, they assisted in designing school-wide culture and procedures, planned meetings, and coordinated university trips. Julia also served as an English Teacher, co-developed a culturally relevant ELA curriculum, and helped implement a new school culture system based on restorative justice and mindfulness.

Julia's most recent work experience includes roles as a UX Designer. Julia worked at Riff Official in 2022, Sharma Brands starting in 2023, and HOOX from 2022 to 2023.

Julia Schwartz completed a UI/UX Certification from Springboard in 2021-2022. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Arts - MA in Curriculum Studies from Louisiana State University from 2015 to 2017. Julia obtained their Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Bates College, where they studied from 2004 to 2008.
