Douglas Rimer is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the medical device industry. Currently serving as President & CEO of Sharp Fluidics Inc since October 2014, Douglas co-founded the company focused on surgical incision closure devices. Prior to this, Douglas held various leadership roles, including Senior VP Engineering at Invuity Inc, where responsibilities encompassed product development and manufacturing operations, and COO at ForSight Labs VISION3, leading early stage product development in an ophthalmic incubator. Douglas's expertise has been further honed through roles at XTENT, Inc., AccessClosure, Inc., Boston Scientific, and Interventional Technologies, contributing to significant operational improvements and growth. Douglas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Science Engineering from UC San Diego.
