Hai Shao M.d.

Hai Shao M.D., Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Hai started their career in 2002 as a Clinical Fellow at UC San Diego Health System. In 2003, they became a Senior Research Associate at UC San Diego, where they worked until 2006. In 2007, Hai Shao joined Sharp HealthCare as a Medical Director and also worked as a Staff Physician at Paradise Valley Hospital during the same time. Hai held these positions until 2008. Recently, in 2021, Hai Shao assumed the role of Interim Medical Director at Scripps Health and became a Member of the Board of Directors at the Infectious Disease Association of California, where they will serve until 2023.

Hai Shao holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, General from the University of Science and Technology of China, which they obtained from 1986 to 1990. Hai then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Case Western Reserve University between 1990 and 1996. Following that, they attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine from 1997 to 2001, earning a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.
