Tony Costa

Tony Costa is the current Director at Sharp. Prior to their current position, they served as the Sr. Director, Global IT Business Solutions at Callaway Golf from January 2002 to December 2005. In their role at Callaway Golf, Tony was responsible for IT applications globally with 75 direct reports. For over a year, they took over IT operations, adding an additional 40 employees to their team. Tony was also responsible for the annual operations budget of 28M with another 10M in capital spending.

Under Tony's leadership, the IT department at Callaway Golf underwent a transformation, becoming an innovation-focused, high-performing team with strategic vision and strong culture. Tony partnered with the CIO and a consulting firm to assess and define the future state for IT. The assessment resulted in lower “meantime between failure’ measurements, increased customer satisfaction scores, and improved delivery of IT/Business projects.

Tony was also selected to lead the global integration of business acquisition of Top Flite Golf Company. Tony assessed the existing capabilities and developed a vision for the integration. Tony then orchestrated the implementation, transition, and communication for each location - Sweden, London, Australia, and Canada. All locations were successfully integrated within 12 months.

In addition to their work at Callaway Golf, Tony is also known for designing and implementing a state-of-the-art business solution that allowed golf retailers direct access to Callaway’s ordering and invoice system - an innovative solution
