Alberto Chavez Jr, P.E. is a seasoned Transmission and Distribution Engineer with over two decades of experience in the electrical engineering field. Currently employed at Sharyland Utilities, L.P. since August 2003, Alberto has conducted various distribution system planning studies, including short circuit analysis, protection device coordination, load flow analysis, and power factor correction, along with designing primary and secondary distribution systems. Prior experience includes serving as a Distribution Planning Engineer at Pedernales Electric Cooperative, where similar planning studies were performed, and conducting field inventories of distribution equipment. Earlier roles include Designer at CRC Engineering focusing on electrical designs for industrial and commercial projects, and a brief internship as a Test Engineer at Hughes Space and Communications, where participation in satellite system tests occurred.
