Jason Conn

Jason Conn has a diverse and extensive work experience in the energy industry. Jason started their career as a Plant Engineer intern at Xcel Energy in December 2003. Jason then worked as a Plant Engineer, focusing on the electrical system and SPS fleet arc flash analysis at Harrington Station. Jason was later promoted to Plant Engineer II at Harrington Station, where they dealt with environmental and air quality control systems. Jason also served as a Plant Engineer III at Nichols Station, handling various projects such as troubleshooting VFDs and boiler and cooling water makeup improvement projects. Jason then moved into Xcel Energy's Energy Supply Engineering & Construction department, where they held positions as a Staff Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Manager of Plant Engineering & Technical Support. In these roles, they managed a team of engineers and technicians responsible for performance testing, project development, and maintenance and repair of instrumentation and control systems. Jason's most recent positions include working at Sharyland Utilities, L.L.C. as a Commissioning Manager for synchronous condenser and a Manager of Energy Systems, and as the Director of Operations, Hunt Utility Services at Hunt Energy.

Jason Conn completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Texas Tech University between 2002 and 2005. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Engineering from South Plains College from 1994 to 1997.
