Ms. Blanco holds a bachelor’s degree with dual majors in Health Science and Health Education & Promotion from Chico State University. She also has a master’s degree from Simpson University in Education and is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES). Currently, she serves on the Division Board of Certified Health Education Specialists, a division of the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.
Theresa spent ten years at Tehama County Public Health as a Program Coordinator for the HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention Program.
Ms. Blanco joined Shasta Community Health Center in 2011 as a Patient Educator and founded the organization's Patient Education Department. In 2020, Theresa was granted the Chief of Planning and Development position after working under her predecessor since 2019 as the Director of Planning and Development. She continues to work on growth and development opportunities for the organization and strategic planning activities.
