Joseariel Gomez Ortigoza has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry. In 2004, they began their career as a Financial Advisor Assistant at Merrill Lynch. In 2006, they were a top ten finalist in the Premio Intel Mexico 2006, a national business innovation contest sponsored by Intel, Mexico's Department of Commerce (SE) and the Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM). In 2007, they founded Shast, a network for searching, discovering, casting and hiring talent. In 2009, they founded Shastic, an Intelligent Process Automation platform (IPA) for financial services that uses RPA, the cloud, machine learning and big data to automate complete business processes from end-to-end. In 2013, they were a speaker at the Grow Show Conference by The Credit Union Journal, discussing how Facebook can be used as a means of marketing and driving loans. In 2014, they were a speaker at the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council Conference, discussing how to optimize Facebook for lending. In 2016, they were a speaker at the Access Softek Client Conference, discussing real-time lending. In 2017, they were a speaker at the MeridianLink User Forum, discussing member engagement and lead generation. In 2021, they were part of the ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator program, providing mentorship from fintech experts and in-depth access to the ICBA executive network and hundreds of their community bank members. In 2022, they were a speaker at the Cunexus Symposium, discussing how Shastic solves for manual back-office work using Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
Joseariel Gomez Ortigoza has a B.A. in Financial Management from the Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2002 to 2006. Joseariel also obtained a Vocal & Linguistic Certificate from Idea Verona in 2004, a Linguistic Certificate from ACICOM in 2003, a Desktop Music Production Online Course Certificate from Berklee College of Music in 2002, a Linguistic Certificate from the Université catholique de l'Ouest in 2001, and a Linguistic Certificate from The American School In Switzerland (TASIS) in 1997. Additionally, they obtained a Machine Learning Certificate from Stanford University through Coursera in September 2014.
