John Rung has been in the publishing industry for over 20 years. John started their career as Vice President of Advertising at Freedom Communications in December 2000. In this role, they ran the advertising department of The Gazette in Colorado Springs. John left Freedom Communications in June 2002 to join Northwest Herald as Publisher. John served in this role for 12 years, until October 2014 when they became President & CEO of Shaw Media. In addition to their role as President & CEO, John Rung also serves as Publisher of Shaw's flagship daily newspaper.
John Rung has a Masters in Business Administration from Webster University and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Western Illinois University.
