The Dowans Hotel, operational under the Murray family since December 2012, is a 16 bedroom property with two restaurant spaces providing access to two menu styles, a cocktail bar and whisky snug. It offers guests the opportunity to experience the best of Scotland in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Hotel 1881 is an 11 bedroom property with a bar and restaurant offering two unique dining spaces and menus. Focusing, like the Dowans, on first class customer service , the space will open in late 2021.

Passion. Dedication. Family. The elements of our business that we believe are key to make it a success. But, more than that, our greatest strength lies in the devoted, unique and professional service that we provide that allows our growing number of returning guests to utter the simple assertion: “It’s like coming home"; creating a relationship with our guests that extends well past the point of their departure.

Shawfern Group: warm, friendly and personal service. Every time.
