Amber Young has been serving as a Patient Navigator at Shawnee Health Service since September 2018, where responsibilities include patient navigation, chart management, and scheduling utilizing the AthenaNet software system, while ensuring compliance with state laws and HIPAA regulations. Previously, from November 2012 to November 2013, Amber held the role of Administrative Clerk at Reed, Heller, Mansfield & Gross Law Office, performing extensive filing, managing multi-line phones, assisting attorneys and paralegals, and handling various general office duties. Amber completed studies at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, from 2004 to 2008.

Shawnee Health
Shawnee Health Service is a comprehensive, coordinated network of community health centers and services located throughout Jackson and Williamson Counties. Shawnee provides Integrated Primary Medical and Behavioral Health care, including Addiction Medicine, Counseling, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, and Same Day. In addition, we provide Behavioral Health Care, Nutrition/Dietary Counseling, OB/GYN Care, and Weight Management. We also provide both General and Pediatric Dentistry. Shawnee currently has nine medical providers, seven dentists, and sixteen mid-levels providers. Since our beginning in 1971, Shawnee Health Service and Development Corporation has fostered the development of health and social services in southern Illinois.
