Roi Otero Morales

Roi Otero Morales has a diverse range of work experience in the software engineering field. Roi started their career as a Software Developer at Motorola Solutions, where they worked on the PS-LTE project and developed platform tools. Roi then moved on to Altran España and TBSCG, where they worked as a Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, respectively.

In 2016, Roi joined InfoJobs, where they played a key role in the development of the Infojobs.net product. Roi was responsible for migrating the architecture from a Monolithic to a distributed one using Microservices. Roi also worked as a Full Stack developer, handling both web and Android development. Roi followed Agile methodologies such as Lean and Scrum.

Roi then worked as a Software Engineer and Lead Instructor at CodingNomads, where they conducted bootcamps in different locations, teaching Java fundamentals to students from around the world.

In 2019, Roi joined Virgin Red as a Lead Software Engineer, contributing to the creation of the Virgin Red loyalty platform from scratch. Roi was responsible for architecting and implementing critical parts of the system, as well as setting up the project infrastructure.

Currently, Roi works at Shaype as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead. Roi'smain responsibilities include expanding the Financial services platform using Java Microservices, Spring, Kubernetes, Kafka, ProtoBuf, and GraphQL.
