Marlene Sigmund

Marlene Sigmund is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in application development and management. Currently serving as Sr. Manager Applications Development at SHAZAM Network - ITS, Inc. since July 2022, Marlene previously held the position of Enterprise Applications Manager for the City of Des Moines, where leadership in optimizing the application portfolio was provided. With a significant tenure at Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield from August 2000 to June 2018, Marlene excelled in various roles including Team Leader for Application Operations and Technical Delivery Leader, ensuring timely project delivery and collaboration across teams. Earlier experience includes serving as IT Analyst Lead at Principal Financial Group, focusing on interface design and data integrity. Marlene holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Computer Information Systems from Simpson College and a Certificate in Executive Project Management Fundamentals from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.
