Emily Bernstein

Emily Bernstein, AIA, LEED AP BDC, is an accomplished architect with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as an Architect at Sheehan Nagle Hartray Architects since February 2020. Previously, Emily worked at Shure Incorporated as a Planner/Project Manager for Global Projects, where expertise in architecture and design was leveraged to lead client-side efforts for new offices. Past roles include positions at Gensler, where versatility in early programming, planning, and construction administration was demonstrated, and as a Departmental Assistant at the University of Chicago, managing schedules and communications. Emily also has a background in operations and finance as the Operations Director for Girls Rock! Chicago, and has contributed to architectural projects as both an intern and a founder of a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young girls through music. Education includes a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s degree in Sociology from Columbia University, and an undergraduate degree in Sociology with Honors from the University of Chicago.
