Anthony Simon

Anthony Simon serves as General Chairman at SMART/Sheet Metal Air Rail Transportation, where responsibilities include overseeing Local Chairmen, managing employee trials and arbitration, and negotiating contracts since October 2006. Additionally, Anthony holds the position of 2nd Vice Chairman at the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency, contributing to the promotion of economic welfare in Nassau County since March 2018. As International Alternate Vice President of the SMART Transportation Division since March 2014, Anthony specializes in negotiating contracts related to employee wages, pensions, and benefits, while also focusing on organizing new union membership for improved working conditions. Furthermore, Anthony has been a Conductor and Secretary Treasurer for SMART Local 645 at Long Island Rail Road since March 1990, demonstrating qualifications as a Conductor on all branches and familiarity with relevant rules and regulations.
