Joplihn Corradino has extensive experience in the transportation industry, currently serving as a Yardmaster at CN since February 2007 and as a Conductor. In addition, Joplihn has been a Union Representative with SMART Transportation Division since October 2020, holding the position of Local Chairman for Yardmasters, where responsibilities include representing the Yardmaster craft in contract negotiations, assisting employees during discipline investigations, and ensuring the proper application of labor agreements. Prior to these roles, Joplihn was the Shipping Receiving Coordinator at Feralloy Midwest from June 2000 to January 2007, overseeing all inbound and outbound shipments via rail, truck, and barge, while collaborating with various railroads and trucking companies.

We are the SMART Transportation Division, an AFL-CIO affiliate headquartered near Cleveland, Ohio. We are a broad-based, transportation labor union representing about 125,000 active and retired railroad, bus, mass transit and airline workers in the United States. With offices in Cleveland and Washington, D.C., the SMART TD is the largest railroad operating union in North America, with more than 500 locals. The SMART TD (formerly UTU) represents employees on every Class I railroad, as well as employees on many regional and shortline railroads. It also represents bus and mass transit employees on approximately 45 bus and transit systems and has recently grown to include airline pilots, dispatchers and other airport personnel.
