Rusty Beames has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Rusty started their career at ALCO Stores, Inc in 1995 and worked in various departments within the Distribution Center, eventually being promoted to Inventory Quality Control. In 2000, they joined the Twin Cities & Western Railroad as a Transportation Specialist, where they controlled and coordinated train movements while switching railcars. In 2006, they transitioned to Union Pacific Railroad as a Conductor, responsible for ensuring safe and on-time train operations. Rusty then became the Local 506 President at SMART Transportation Division in 2012, where they presided over meetings and enforced constitutional provisions. Currently, they serve as the #84 Club President at the Union Pacific Employee Club, overseeing club affairs and attending conventions.
Rusty Beames attended Centre High School from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a high school degree with a focus on General Studies. In 1996-1997, they attended Cloud County Community College, studying Business Administration, Management and Operations. In 2000, Rusty briefly attended Johnson County Community College, specializing in Railroad Technology.
