Shelden Architecture
Rick Brown, AIA, is an experienced architect and project manager with a proven track record in commercial, educational, and institutional design. Currently serving as a Project Manager at Shelden Architecture since March 2019, Rick is overseeing significant projects, including a 30,000 SF office building for Equity Bank and a 90,000 SF office building in Wichita, KS. Prior to this role, Rick held positions at SJCF Architecture, where contributions included serving as Project Manager and Architect for the award-winning Derby North Middle School and various bond-funded projects. As the owner of Richard Brown and Associates Architecture and Design, Rick managed a team and delivered a range of design services. Beginning the professional career at Schaefer Johnson Cox Frey and Associates PA, Rick developed essential skills and completed numerous projects while obtaining licensure in 1998. Rick holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kansas State University and furthered education in architecture in Italy.

Shelden Architecture, Inc., was founded in 2002 because I wanted to build a firm where clients are comfortable enough to share their ideas and designers listen. It's a place where continual learning is encouraged and desired, creative minds work together to find the best solutions, and life & work are fun. Most importantly, it's where spaces are truly inspired. Over the last 15+ years, Shelden Architecture has designed a wide variety of building types: retail centers, medical clinics, financial institutions, office buildings, educational facilities, residential buildings, event venues, churches, and private residences. Even amidst this diversity of projects, we have made a name for ourselves by our follow-through, high quality results, fresh ideas, and for breathing new life into the landscape of the region through the buildings we design. We are a team of professional learners, fearless explorers, friendly competitors, and practical dreamers, who can take you through your new building project.
