Adekunle Ajayi has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Adekunle started their career as a Maintenance Engineer at Consolidated Foods and Beverages Limited in 2008. Following that, they served as a National Youth Service Corp at the Standard Organisation of Nigeria. In 2009, they joined Phitad Crown Nig Ltd as an Operations and Maintenance Engineer, where they gained experience in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of power generating sets, HVAC systems, compressors, boilers, and other industrial machinery. Adekunle then worked as a Field Engineer at Schlumberger from 2010 to 2014, where they acquired expertise in field operations. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Electrician at Shelf Drilling, a role they have been in since August 2019. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Rig Electrician at the same company from September 2014 to July 2019. In this role, they were responsible for conducting inspections, carrying out maintenance tasks, interpreting technical specifications, and leading troubleshooting efforts for electrical equipment. With their extensive experience in the field, Adekunle Ajayi has acquired valuable skills in electrical maintenance, equipment repair, and project management.

Adekunle Ajayi CMRP. PMP®. MBA. has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Igbinedion University, Okada, obtained from 2003 to 2008. Adekunle also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Suffolk, completed from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, they obtained a Mini Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from the Tekedia Institute in 2021.

Adekunle Ajayi has pursued various certifications throughout their career. Adekunle is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute, obtained in 2022. Adekunle is also a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) from the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals, obtained in 2021. Furthermore, they have obtained certifications such as ST7-PRO2 Simatic S7 Programming Course and ST7-PRO1 Simatic S7 Programming Course from Siemens in 2022. Adekunle also holds additional certifications in areas such as safety leadership, troubleshooting electrical circuits, environmental solutions, equipment maintenance, and drilling safety leadership and team development.
