Bijay Darshan Behera is a well engineering professional with over 35 years of experience in well construction, specializing in engineering, supervisory, and managerial roles across various rig operations, including floater, jack-up, and onshore. Bijay has held positions such as Lead Drilling Engineer and Well Engineering Manager at BG Group, where responsibilities included well design and planning, rig hiring, and HSSE management. At ONGC, Bijay worked as an OIM-cum-Drilling Supervisor on drillships, managing operations and contractor relations. Currently, Bijay serves as a Well Engineering Consultant for Shell, providing technical advice on well engineering matters and serving as an external safety auditor. Bijay received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University College of Engineering, Sambalpur University, India.
