Joel Gill

Joel Gill is an experienced design professional with a focus on Experience Design, UX, and UI, currently serving as the Head of Experience Design & HCD capability development at Shell since December 2018. In this role, Joel is responsible for building a comprehensive Experience Design capability and implementing design-driven methodologies to enhance product development for business and commercial customers. Previous positions include Experience Director at Experience Artisan, where Joel contributed to digital product design for clients in the oil and gas sector, and Experience Manager at S&P Global Platts, establishing the UX function for the energy information provider. Additionally, roles at HSBC, Barclays, Vodafone, and other firms involved UX consulting and strategy development, emphasizing data-driven methodologies and user-centered design. Joel holds a degree in Avionics Aircraft Engineering from British Airways Engineering London.
