Jon Wilson

Jon Wilson is an experienced operations and engineering professional with a distinguished career spanning over three decades in the energy sector, currently serving as the Operations Readiness/CSU Manager for Shell in Europe since July 2014. In this role, Jon leads a team of operations and maintenance experts, ensuring successful project start-ups and delivering independent operational assurance for major projects. Previous positions include Gorgon Downstream Start-Up Team Lead at Chevron, where Jon managed operations and process engineering teams, and Technical Manager at Oman LNG L.L.C., providing comprehensive operational support for LNG facilities. Earlier experience includes senior roles at Brunei LNG and Shell, where Jon made significant contributions to process design and operational improvements. Jon holds a PhD in Surface Physics & Nanotechnology and a BA in Chemistry, both from the University of Oxford.
