Richard Cao is an accomplished reservoir engineering professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. At Shell, Richard served as Reservoir Engineering Advisor and Principal Reservoir Engineer, focusing on enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and field development planning (FDP) in Kuwait, as well as providing strategic technical solutions for unconventional resource plays across various countries including the USA, Canada, and China. Richard's leadership as Lead Reservoir Engineer resulted in a 500% increase in asset production and a 40% reduction in unit costs for the Permian asset. Additionally, as Area Development Lead, Richard supervised a team of geoscientists and engineers, successfully executing a $200 million appraisal and development program.
