Tijmen van Etten

Tijmen van Etten is an experienced AI researcher and strategist with a strong background in decarbonization data science and consulting. Currently serving as an AI Research Intern at Shell, Tijmen has developed methodologies for electric vehicle charging demand forecasting and effectively communicates complex findings to stakeholders. As Director of De Kleine Consultant, Tijmen oversees operations for a student-run non-profit and leads initiatives supporting financially disadvantaged students. Previous experience includes a data science internship at ABN AMRO Bank, where Tijmen created an AI system for personalized solar panel plans, and a teaching assistant role at the University of Amsterdam. Tijmen holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Amsterdam, complemented by a minor in Applied Econometrics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
