Shelley Whitman Associates knows every crisis holds the potential for opportunity. Amidst the pandemic, arts and humanities academics faced layoffs, while classrooms abruptly shifted online—often without much support or preparation. In response, a passionate group of individuals saw a chance to make a difference. Shelley Whitman Associates emerged to bring together the expertise of humanities academics, filmmakers, and digital media specialists. Together, we’ve tried to form a new kind of media collective designed for collaborative creation–teaching and learning from each other, and from the departments and faculty, organizations and businesses our media serves
