Penny Kissinger

Penny Kissinger has over 15 years of experiencing supporting the multi-housing industry. In her current role as Director of Human Resources, Ms. Kissinger is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources, including Payroll, Benefits, Work Comp, Leaves of Absence, Policy Creation, Labor Compliance, Recruitment, and Employee Relations. Ms. Kissinger works closely and collaboratively with Operations Leadership to ensure all Shelter Corporation’s team members have a happy, safe, fun, and friendly environment in which to work.

Ms. Kissinger joined Shelter Corporation in 2004 and has since been a member of every department within the corporate office. This experience has allowed Ms. Kissinger to have a full understanding of the needs of each department and work strategically to ensure all aspects of Human Resources support our mission and goals appropriately.

Ms. Kissinger received her B.A. from the University of Kansas in 2001. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, a member of the MRA Employer Association, and has received certifications in Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management and Documentation, Effective Interviewing and Hiring, and Employment Law.
