Katharine Appuhn-Hodges

Katharine Appuhn-Hodges is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in employee relations, performance management, and academic advising. Currently serving as the Manager of Employee Relations and Performance Management at Shelter Insurance Companies since May 2019, Katharine also works as an Adjunct Instructor at Columbia College, teaching courses on introduction to speech and communication theory. Previous roles include Senior Academic Advisor for Graduate Studies at Missouri School of Journalism, Undergraduate Academic Advisor and Special Events Coordinator at the University of Missouri College of Engineering, and various marketing and event coordination positions. Katharine holds a Master’s degree in Speech Communication/Public Relations from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
