Kevin Howat

Kevin Howat is a seasoned actuarial professional with extensive experience in the insurance industry. Currently serving as Director and Chief Actuary at Shelter Life Insurance Company since October 2024, Kevin previously held the position of Senior Life Actuary at Shelter Insurance Companies beginning in November 2021. Prior to that, Kevin was Manager of Corporate Actuarial at Assurity Life and served as Associate Actuary at Assurity Life Insurance Company from March 2020 to February 2022. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Actuarial Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, obtained between 1986 and 1990.
