Mike Hackmann

Mike Hackmann, CFA, CAIA, currently serves as Vice President of Investments at Shelter Insurance Companies, a role held since November 2006. In this capacity, Mike manages $4.5 billion in fixed income assets across various portfolios, emphasizing asset allocation, liquidity, and risk management while leading a team of six professionals. Mike's efforts have consistently outperformed the Barclays Aggregate A+ Index by an average of 1%. Prior to this position, Mike worked as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager/Analyst at Commerce Bank from January 2000 to October 2006, co-managing a $4.5 billion bank portfolio with a focus on diverse asset-backed sectors. Mike holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance & Real Estate from the University of Missouri-Columbia, obtained between 1996 and 1999.
