Celena Matlock is the Secretary at Sheltering Arms Early Education & Family Centers. Prior to their current position, they served as the Senior Vice President of Internal Audit at Aerion Supersonic from January 2021 to January 2022. In their role at Aerion Supersonic, Celena was responsible for building the Internal Audit function, and leading the strategic direction of the Internal Audit Program inclusive of Sarbanes-Oxley, and the development and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

During their time at Aerion Supersonic, Celena was an Executive Level Team member responsible for public company readiness requirements, including financial/IT/operational transformation, and enhancement of governance, risk, and compliance required for publicly traded companies. Celena oversaw the SOX readiness assessment and implementation of the COSO 2013 Framework, created the infrastructure and company-wide SOX approach, and worked closely with the General Counsel to set a culture of integrity and governance, investigate allegations of fraud and noncompliance, and the redesign and formalization of the ERM framework and approach. Celena also communicated with the Board of Directors on all matters under the scope of Internal Audit, strategically connecting business issues to the importance of internal control, risk management, and governance to educate leadership in the execution of a strong control environment. In addition, they served as a key advisory leader in the implementation of SAP and managed the budget for the overall Internal Audit function.

Celena Matlock has a degree in accounting from Questrom School of Business at Boston University. Celena is certified in diversity and inclusion for HR from Cornell University, and they are a certified public accountant (CPA).
