Danielle Morio

Danielle Morio is an experienced occupational therapist currently working at Sheltering Arms Institute since June 2020. Previously, Danielle served as a researcher at VCU Motor Development Lab, where a fourteen-week doctoral capstone project involved leading a quantitative study on parent-child interactions in infants with neuromotor disorders. Danielle also completed clinical rotations at VCU Health and Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, providing occupational therapy services in acute care and inpatient spinal cord injury settings. An early career role as an administrative assistant at Rappahannock Area YMCA involved providing support to a large membership base and coordinating local events. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University and a subsequent graduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
