Chrissy Sedgley has a diverse work experience in various roles. Chrissy started their career as a Project Manager and Graphic Designer at Neutral7 Design Group in 2010. Chrissy served there until 2013 and also worked as a Seasonal Art Director and Assistant Producer during that time.

In 2013, Chrissy joined the Alachua County Humane Society as an Adoption & Foster Coordinator. Chrissy then became the Director of Shelter Operations in 2015, where they oversaw multiple programs and teams. Chrissy managed animal populations, developed enrichment programs, and assisted in medical and behavioral examinations. Chrissy continued in this role until 2017.

Later in 2017, Chrissy became the Office Manager at Newberry Animal Hospital for a few months. In 2018, they joined the Maddie's Shelter Medicine Program at the University of Florida as a Program Support Specialist and then became an Educational Programs Manager.

Most recently, Chrissy is working at Shelterluv as a Customer Solutions & Onboarding Manager, starting from 2020.

Chrissy Sedgley obtained a Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Art History from the University of Florida in 2009. Chrissy then pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Graphic Design and Digital Media from Santa Fe College from 2009 to 2011. Later, they earned a Master's degree in Veterinary Medical Sciences with a concentration in Shelter Medicine and Leadership from the University of Florida between 2015 and 2017.

Additionally, Chrissy Sedgley has obtained several certifications including Animal Technical Rescue Awareness Training from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in June 2021. Chrissy also holds certifications in Fear Free Shelters Graduate and Fear Free Certified Veterinary Professional from Fear Free LLC in August 2019 and February 2019 respectively. Furthermore, they have completed various training courses on animals in disasters and incident management offered by FEMA in 2014 and 2015.
