Max Roberts has an extensive work experience in the finance industry. Max started their career at The Travelers Insurance Company in 1991 as part of their Information Systems Management Development Program. Max then worked at Travelers Investment Management Company as a Quantative Equity Analyst from 1993 to 1995. Max Roberts joined Merrill Lynch in 1997 as Vice President, Senior Credit Derivative Trader and Structurer until 2000. Max then moved to Wachovia Bank N.A. where they served as Director and Head of Credit Derivative Trading from 2000 to 2003. Roberts then joined Primus Asset Management as Chief Trading Officer from 2003 to 2006. Max worked at BMO Capital Markets as Chief Investment Officer, Pallium Investment Management from 2006 to 2008, and later as Managing Director, Financial Products/Debt Products Workout Group from 2008 to 2012. From 2013 to 2015, Max Roberts held the positions of Senior Vice President, Highbridge Principal Strategies and Chief Risk Officer at Highbridge Capital Management. Their most recent role is Chief Risk Officer at SHENKMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT, INC, where they have been since 2020.

Max Roberts obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology / Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. Max then pursued a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Financial Engineering from the MIT Sloan School of Management, attending from 1995 to 1997. Max Roberts also holds the certification of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute.
