Muataz Kadhum

Muataz Kadhum has a strong background in network engineering and administration. Muataz started their career as a NOC Technician at Shentel in 2010, where they provided surveillance of the network and troubleshooted network problems. Muataz then worked as a Network Administrator, where they configured and maintained different Cisco platforms and hand-off equipment, and also configured and troubleshooted 4G Ethernet backhaul for Sprint. Muataz then moved on to become a Sr. Network Administrator, where they provided expert-level operations support for the Shentel data network and monitored network bandwidth utilization trends. Their next role at Shentel was a Sr. Network Engineer, where they provided expert-level design and engineering for major infrastructure projects and designed underlying networks to support data, voice, and video applications. Currently, Muataz serves as the Principal Network Engineer at Shentel, and further job details are not provided. Before joining Shentel, Muataz worked as a Computer System and Network Technician Intern at James Madison University, where they gained experience in operating system installation and setting up installation and configuration for desktops, servers, and laptops.

Muataz Kadhum pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the New York Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Technology, where they earned a BSc in Computer Engineering from 2001 to 2005. Muataz Kadhum also holds a certification in CCNP from Cisco.
