Benjamin Prijatel

Benjamin Prijatel has a varied work history, starting with their most recent position as the President & CEO of Shepeard Community Blood Center, which they assumed in October 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director of Blood Operations at LifeShare Blood Center from September 2018 to October 2022.

In 2018, Benjamin worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Pellissippi State Community College from January to September. Before that, they held the role of Director of Marketing and Donor Recruitment at MEDIC Regional Blood Center from November 2014 to September 2018.

Between 2013 and 2014, Benjamin was the Director of Communications and Marketing at the American Red Cross. Prior to that, they were a Producer at WATE 6 On Your Side from July 2009 to September 2013.

Benjamin's earliest work experience was as a Law Clerk at the City of Knoxville from January 2006 to April 2008.

Benjamin Prijatel started their education at South-Doyle High School, where they obtained a diploma in 2005. Following their high school graduation, they enrolled at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from 2005 to 2009, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Journalism and Electronic Media. In 2015, Benjamin pursued advanced studies at Mississippi State University and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2017. Currently, Benjamin is attending Franklin University and working towards their Doctor of Health Administration (in progress), expected to be completed by 2024.
