James Shikle

Medical Director at Shepeard Community Blood Center

James Shikle has over 30 years of experience in the medical field. James began their career as a Medical Doctor in the United States Army, where they served from 1990 to 2011. During this time, they gained valuable experience and expertise in the medical field. Following their time in the army, they worked as a Pathologist at Laboratory Medicine from 2011 to 2015. In 2012, they also served as the Medical Director at US Clinical Labs for a year. In 2010, they became the Medical Director at Shepeard Community Blood Center, a position they still hold. Currently, James Shikle is an Associate Professor of Pathology at Augusta University, where they have been since 2015. Throughout their career, they have consistently demonstrated their dedication and commitment to providing quality healthcare.

James Shikle received their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, pre-med, from Auburn University between 1982 and 1986. Following this, they attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine from 1986 to 1990, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in the field of Medicine.
