Joshua McCarthy has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Joshua started their career as a Restaurant Manager at Pizza Hut, where they quickly progressed to become the youngest Store Manager in Wisconsin. Following this, Joshua worked as a Life & Annuity Marketing Associate at Rohrer & Associates, where they excelled in making sales calls and achieved a high success rate in the internship program.

Joshua then joined AAA-The Auto Club Group as a Sales & Service Agent, focusing on insurance and AAA membership sales. Joshua received multiple awards and incentive-based trips for their exceptional sales performance. Later, they joined Farmers Insurance as a Regional Sales Manager, where they prioritized new business sales and conducted successful pre-licensing courses.

In 2008, Joshua joined Johnson Financial Group as the VP Personal & Small Business Sales Manager, leading the Personal & Small Business Insurance departments for the Arizona and Wisconsin regions. Under their leadership, the team broke new business records and achieved Cornerstone status with Chubb for five consecutive years.

In pursuit of entrepreneurial opportunities, Joshua started McPools, Inc - Pool Heaters & Pool Equipment Sales & Installation in 2015. The business gained recognition as an award-winning service and received the "Top Rated" award from HomeAdvisor for Manatee county multiple times.

Joshua's most recent role was as Florida Region Personal Lines Manager at Shepherd Insurance and its partner company, Al Purmort Insurance. Joshua successfully led a team of twenty-five insurance professionals, contributing to a notable 15% growth in 2022 despite challenges faced.

Joshua McCarthy's education history includes multiple certifications and courses in various fields. In 2006, they attended the Hartford School of Insurance where they studied Risk Management. The following year, in 2007, they completed a course at the National Underwriter focusing on Personal Lines Coverage Specialist.

In 2008, Joshua pursued further education at the International Risk Management Institute, specializing in Construction Risk Insurance. Joshua also obtained a certification from the Florida Swimming Pool Association as a Florida Public Pool Specialist.

In 2015, Joshua attended the Entrepreneurial Academy, focusing on Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Studies. That same year, they became a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) through the National Swimming Pool Foundation.

In 2017, Joshua obtained another certification from the National Swimming Pool Foundation, this time as a Certified Pool Inspector.

In 2018, they pursued education in Swimming Pool and Spa Contracting at the Florida Pool & Spa Contractor school, obtaining the CPC1459202 license.

From 2022 to present, Joshua has been pursuing an Associate degree in Insurance Account Management at FAIA. Joshua is expected to complete this program soon.

Later in 2023, Joshua also enrolled at IA-MBA to study Insurance and received a Basics of Accounting certification from Skill Success.

Furthermore, Joshua completed a Project Management course at the International School of Management in Germany.

Lastly, Joshua obtained additional certifications, including IA-MBA from GoalMakers and Navigating Claims with Excellence from VYRD.
